The Forge Motorsport FMDVMCS Blow Off Adaptor is designed for compatible MINI models fitted with the N14 turbo petrol engine.

The adaptor fits between the existing electronic diverter valve solenoid and the turbocharger housing, changing the standard recirculation system so that excess boost pressure is released to atmosphere. This produces the distinctive blow-off sound when lifting off the throttle or changing gear.

Installation is straightforward, with the adaptor fitted using three bolts and no replacement electronic valve required.

Forge specifies FMDVMCS for 2007/2008 Cooper S Turbo applications in its valve selection table, so the vehicle's engine and existing turbo/diverter valve arrangement should be checked before ordering.

This product is for the N14 application. It should not be assumed to fit N18 models simply because the vehicle is an R55, R56 or R57.
The standard MINI system recirculates excess charge air back into the intake when the throttle closes.

FMDVMCS changes this by allowing the excess pressure to be released to atmosphere. The original electronic solenoid remains in place, allowing the engine management system to continue controlling the valve.

Because the valve is also used by the vehicle's management systems, Forge notes that you may occasionally hear the adaptor venting when systems such as DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) intervene.
