    Finally got round to fitting this today. A great bit of kit.

    The existing lighter socket is moulded as part of the car panel and non removable.....so I purchased a genuine BMW replacement socket (£10 inc p&p), the hole in the charging pad needed a little bit of reaming out to a snug fit, with a little super glue. Swap over the clips, USB unit, reroute the cables and good to go. Checked socket was working, pushed the unit into place and wow it works.

    A bit of of work and thought but well worth the money.

    Brilliantly simple and very elegant solution (tons better than the OEM wireless charger). Really easy to fit, but you'll need some trim levers. I couldn't get the 12v socket out of it's original hole to fit it into the charger but, since I have no need for it and you can't see the empty hole, it didn't really bother me. A must-have for any F-series owner.
